What Is LUMONDE?

LUMONDE is a snack, made by BOURBON CORPORATION in 1974.
The thin crepe dough layered on top of each other is gently wrapped in a cocoa cream. It’s simple but the texture is different from the one of biscuits or pie snacks.
The concept of this product is often said as “luxury” or “high-quality.” The name of this snack is derived from a French word, “Le Monde” = the world. The manufacturer hoped that this snack would spread out throughout the world.

Yeah! LUMONDE is sweet just like other chocolate (especially since it’s coated in cocoa cream), but the texture is soft and the flavor is not too rich. So, I always feel like eating it as a little snack. Just like the concept above, it’s luxury and high-quality, delicious but not too heavy, which makes me get addicted to it.
