What is the Kyushu region?

The Kyushu region refers to the entire region located in the south of Japan.
It is often categorized as part of western Japan and is usually comprised of 8 prefectures, including Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Oita, Miyazaki, Kagoshima, and Okinawa.
he name 'Kyushu' originates from the fact that it was made up of nine countries during the Edo period.
Geographically, it has many volcanoes, and even now, the volcano Sakurajima is actively erupting. It is so familiar that it is mentioned in daily weather forecasts.
