Pizza Potato Chips are an original Japanese snack developed by Calbee, Inc.
It was first sold in September 1992, replicating rich flavors unique to pizza along with the crunchy texture of chips. Some of the best parts about these chips are “thick-cut chips,” “rich flavor of melted cheese,” and “some authentic flavors of staple toppings of pizza, such as tomato flakes, salami-style chips and parsleys.”
This product has been renewed 14 times, trying to meet expectations of the fans, depending on the period. The renewal includes detailed designs’ changes on a package, the amount of melted cheese or the type of cheese. As of today, the toppings include three types of cheese; Emmental cheese, cream cheese, and blue cheese. The flavor has become even richer than ever before.
