Just like the fruity Mitsuya Cider candies, these tablet sizzle in the mouth like hard-candy carbonated soda (and are about as addicting!). This variant doesn't have any fruit taste to it though, it more so has the neutral flavour of the standard Mitsuya Cider soft drink... It looks 'peppermint-y', but it's definitely a sweet type of candy. It's difficult to find a word to compare the flavour to, but the first thing I think of is... creamy! Creamy texture, more creamy and slightly more gentle fizzle than the fruity Mitsuya hard candies. I really like the size of the tablets, it lays completely flat on the tongue which makes it very pleasant to just let dissolve.
The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of five is because the bag is disappointingly small (25 grams, the bag is pocket-sized and resealable) compared to the fruity Mitsuya Cider candy (bag of 112 grams), which gets you slightly more than 4X the content for a similar fizzly experience. I can say though that for these tablets, it's just as easy to develop a specific craving for. Will very likely buy again despite the price/contents balance, but less often than the fruity bag.
