I received a sample of this item in my package (thank you, Japanese Snacks Republic!), so I wasn't sure what to expect.

I've never heard of deep-fried broad beans before, let alone eaten them. To my surprise, however, they tasted delicious! They're perfectly seasoned with salt to give exactly the right flavor without going overboard, and the texture is more like a crunchy chip than a bean - which is great, because I prefer it that way, anyhow.
