Ennichi is originally a word referring to a special day celebrating a special anniversary (anniversary of death or summer cooling festival) at that shrine, but since festivals are held and food stalls are set up on the grounds on such days, before anyone knew it, the image that Ennichi = shrine festival with many food stalls became established among Japanese people! At food stalls, Yakisoba and candied apples are lined up, and Takoyaki is a staple menu item among them~!

Can only be eaten on special summer days... Although it's not that rare of a menu item in Osaka, in regions like Kanto, summer Takoyaki has an image of only being able to be eaten on festival days!
