Hey everyone! Hot springs!! ......Do you like them!? Japan has many tourist spots where you can enjoy hot springs, but this time, I'm going to introduce a very lovely—and incredibly delicious—hot spring destination we visited on a company trip!

This time we visited a hot spring town called Hakone Yumoto, located in Kanagawa Prefecture! Its great accessibility—it’s about 1 hour and 40 minutes from Tokyo—is a big plus! Surrounded by mountains and full of nature, it’s a historically rich tourist destination that has been recently renovated to appeal to younger generations and international visitors!

What I felt on this trip is that Hakone is not only delicious—it has also transformed into a destination where you can lavishly enjoy both the old and the new! This was especially evident in the food! While incorporating trendy sweets, you can still savor traditional items like soba and seafood dishes for which Hakone Yumoto is famous. It's great that the retro atmosphere remains while you also get to enjoy the latest in cuteness and taste!

Hakone Onsen is also well known as a tourist destination surrounded by mountains, with various lakes formed by volcanic activity! There are many activities like sightseeing cruises and tours of active volcanoes to enjoy, making it attractive not just for the hot springs, but also as a place to refresh yourself in nature!

It’s not just about hot springs! Not just the old, not just the delicious! Hakone Yumoto is a place where you can luxuriously enjoy both nature and the latest trends! There were many overseas tourists and quite a few English signs as well! It was much more lively than before, and I’d be happy if more people discover the charm of Hakone Yumoto and take it home with them. Being close to Tokyo is also a huge plus, so if you want to casually enjoy a hot spring trip, definitely check out Hakone Yumoto!
