【Biscuit】A Retro Flavor! Café-style Biscuits Inspired by Classic Milk Tea and Pudding Creams from Old-Fashioned Japanese Coffee Shops!

A crispy biscuit sandwich filled with cream inspired by classic milk tea and pudding—popular items on the menu at old-fashioned Japanese coffee shops! You can enjoy a retro flavor all in one pack with this “Jun-Kissa” Sand!

A “Jun-Kissa” refers to a coffee shop that doesn’t serve alcohol, dedicated purely to the enjoyment of coffee! They started appearing in Japan around the early Showa era (1920s), and are now seen as nostalgic cafés that bring back memories of the past. Since alcohol couldn’t be served, these cafés usually offered Western-style dishes like pudding, tea, Napolitan pasta, or omelet rice!

This sandwich includes two types of cream cookies, but personally, I prefer the milk tea cream! The pudding cream was also delicious, but the smooth flavor and the distinct sweetness of black tea were really well replicated—it was tasty! Being able to enjoy two flavors in one pack is a great feature! These Jun-Kissa Sand cookies are a little indulgence—be sure to check them out!
