What Is Cheese Arare?

Cheese Arare is one of the Japanese snacks with Arare, which is a Japanese traditional snack with cheese in it.
Arare is a type of roasted Japanese cracker made from glutinous rice. It’s commonly flavored with various seasonings such as soy sauce or sauce.
The one we’ll be sharing with you today is the one that has cheese inside but other types of arare coated with cheese also release too.

The difference between Cheese Arare, Cheese Okaki and Osenbei!

By the way, we also have Cheese Okaki, huh? What’s the difference between Cheese Arare and Cheese Okaki?

They are basically the same. They are both made from glutinous rice. The difference is their sizes. Arare is the smaller one, just like hail falling from the sky, whereas the bigger one is Okaki.
Alright, then the smaller one is called Cheese Arare and the bigger one is called Cheese Okaki, huh?

How about Osenbei?
Osenbei is made from nonglutinous rice so the ingredient is different. I would say Arare and Okaki are denser, which tastes smoother. They are also crunchier!
