Atami is a hot spring resort surrounded by mountains and the sea. It is also very close to the Tokyo metropolitan area, and some people even come here for a day trip.

Since the ocean is so close, the hotel we stayed at also advertised a hot spring with an ocean view, right? The hot springs were very nice to be in and the sense of openness was wonderful!

Is that right? My parents used to take me to Atami a lot in the past! The ocean is close by and the hot springs are refreshing! The food is delicious and it's my favorite place! In the summer, there is a huge fireworks festival......oh, but I remember the fireworks festival was cancelled for the past few years to prevent the spread of infection.

Yes, Atami was concerned that the number of visitors was gradually decreasing, so the entire community decided to renew the area! They kept the good old tourist spots, but introduced many new and buzz-worthy elements for young people to enjoy when they come!

Indeed! There were so many pretty looking sweets that I ate them all anyway! The herb garden I went to visit had beautiful flowers and many sweets with flower motifs or petals on them!

Kinomiya Jinjya, a famous power spot, had a great selection of drinks, including hot green tea and strawberry drinks! When I was a little girl, the shrine had just a big tree, but now there is a café nearby and I could enjoy the scenery of the shrine.
