Konnichiwa everyone! Condiments...... reflect that country’s uniqueness, don’t you think? I love soy-sauce, it’s Saori from Japanese Snacks Republic!
boss
Konnichiwa everyone. You have a point. But why are you talking about condiments?
saori/smile
That’s because! The food that we are introducing today is related to a Japanese condiment!I’m perfectly sure that Boss has had it too! It’s good with meat! It’s good over salad! That condiment...... has combined with Cup Noodle!!

Today’s flavor
“Negi-Shio (Salty Chicken & Green Onion),” what does it taste like?

saori/question
Is ‘negi-shio’ a familiar taste for people abroad to begin with?
boss
I’m not sure? By the way, ‘Salty Chicken & Green Onion’ is, as its name suggest, a sauce or flavor that’s made from mixing green onion and salt. Onion is chopped thinly, then salt, garlic, sesame oil, and chicken stock soup and such is added to make this, right?
saori/closeeye
Yes! It just goes so well with meat, and the saltiness and the green onion’s bitterness really brings out the best taste of the ingredients. This is an easy to make yet a delicious sauce!
boss/smile
Yes. In Japan, they even have their own tubed item. As a classic flavor, I also think of it as the sauce that accompanies Japanese BBQ too.

Let’s Tasting!
Nissin Foods Cup Noodle - Negishio Salty Chicken & Green Onion Tastes like This!

  • Fragrance is super good! The toasty green onion smell is so appetizing!Green onion, eggs, cabbage, and red pepper and more, the toppings that you will see upon opening is gorgeous and it’s hard to wait for 3 minutes!!
  • The base, ‘chicken shio soup’ umami is incredible! The flavor of green onion mixes with it and is very rich, and the soup is full bodied with salt and chicken base taste!(I almost drank it all)
  • Compared to the currently released salt-flavor Cup Noodle (Seafood flavor), this is different by the depth of the soup, and the amount of toppings! This is recommended for people who want to find the light-finish yet delicious salt and chicken base soup, and most of all a new Cup Noodle! {stgrong The soup is just so delicious, this Cup Noodle is a crowd-pleasing that still has a strong uniqueness!}
boss

saori
True! This rich soup that’s flavored with meat topping, salt, pepper and green onion makes me want to drink it all up, it is just so good~!!
boss
Exactly. When we speak of Cup Noodle Salt-Flavor, the Seafood flavor was the classic. If the seafood flavor is a western style, then today’s Salty Chicken & Green Onion Flavor, is more like a Japanese salt-flavor-ish! Both are salt flavor, but because they go for different directions, they made it possible to have this beautiful new item that makes the best of both worlds!
saori/smile
So true! This salt, green onion and chicken-filled soup is speechlessly delicious! I just want to ask for seconds!
boss/smile
I totally get that! The soup alone is delicious enough, and the noodle soaks it up makes it gets even better! And so, today’s Cup Noodle - Negishio Salty Chicken & Green Onion is a perfect flavor for anyone wanting to drink delicious ramen soup! The green onion flavor is not too strong, so I want you to try it even if you’re not a big green onion fan!
